Pixelated Harmony

acrylic on canvas

3' x 4'

Created together with my wife.

After the success of our first attempt at painting together, we decided to try a more ambitious project. While the task of the Paris painting was mainly isolated to transposing shape, once the structure of this piece was designed, it became an exercise of mixing and understanding colour. The positioning of the various colour regions wasn't planned, but instead evolved naturally as colours transformed and spread. The occasional split down the centre of the diamonds contributes to a perceived third dimension in the work.
